COVID-19 Rapid Test

Statesboro Urgent Care offers COVID-19 Rapid testing with quick results.

Our licensed providers follow CDC and state guidelines in evaluating patients. They will administer the COVID-19 Rapid Test and recommend the necessary follow up care or treatment based on the test results.

What exactly is a COVID-19 Rapid Test?

The COVID-19 Rapid test is a nasal swab or swab of the back of the throat. The swabs are then mixed with a chemical solution and undergo the process where the virus is identified.

Does Insurance Cover the Test?

At this time, only some health insurance companies cover the test although it is an emergency FDA approved test.
Kindly check with your insurance provider if they cover the COVID-19 Rapid test.
Otherwise, payment should be made at the time the test is administered.

Get Scheduled for Testing

How it works

Step 1:

Book an online consultation to verify if you need the test.

Step 2:

After consultation and verification, schedule for testing. Be sure to fill out the necessary forms
prior to your testing appointment.

Step 3:

Come to the clinic for your curb-side test. Results of the test are out in as short as 15 minutes.

FAQs About COVID-19

What do I do if I’ve been exposed to COVID-19?

  1. Quarantine yourself—stay at home—for 14 days.
  2. Monitor symptoms: a fever of 100.4◦F, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, sore throat, loss of smell and/or taste, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea
  3. As much as possible, stay away from others, particularly those who are at higher risk for infection from COVID-19 such as people with underlying medical conditions or pre-existing diseases, young children, seniors, or the elderly.
  4. If symptoms appear, consult with a doctor or medical professional to know if you need to get tested to confirm infection and get the necessary care.

What do I do if I test positive?

  1. Refer to your health provider’s treatment plan
  2. Isolate yourself. Stay at home and away from other people except when getting medical care.
  3. Notify whoever you’ve been in contact with that you’ve tested positive and ask them to participate in contact tracing.
  4. Monitor your symptoms and stay in contact with your healthcare provider.
  5. While in isolation, do not use the same bathroom as other people in your house and separate all eating utensils and beddings that you use.
  6. Always wear a face mask or cover.
  7. Always wash your hands.
  8. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

What do I do if I test negative?

Testing negative only means that at the time your sample was taken you were not infected. But that does not mean you won’t get infected. The test result only indicates you are not infected at the time of testing. It is best to take preventive measures.

  1. Always wear a face covering especially when it is unavoidable for you to go to public places such as the grocery, parks, or riding public transportation.
  2. Keep a social distance of at least 6 feet from other people, especially in public places.
  3. Always wash your hands for at least 20 seconds using soap and water. Or apply a hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol base.
  4. Sneeze or cough into a tissue (not your hands) and immediately dispose the tissue.
  5. Frequently sanitize “high-touch” areas such as doorknobs, tabletops, countertops, the TV remote, your cellphone, etc.
  6. Monitor yourself for COVID-19 symptoms.
